Welcome to Apparently, This Is 50,
I thought turning 50 would feel a little more… obvious. Like maybe I’d wake up with everything figured out, a perfectly organized closet, an effortless skincare routine, and absolutely no idea why I walked into a room.
Apparently, that’s not quite how it works.
I’m Jenniffer, and this is my little corner of the internet for navigating this season of life as it actually happens. In many ways, it’s also a place for me to let things out, make sense of what I’m feeling, and figure out what works for me now. And hopefully, it can be a little space for other women navigating this same season too — a place where we can feel seen, laugh at the weird parts, share the good ones, and remember that none of us has to have it all figured out.
I’m figuring out what I want to wear, how I want to care for myself, the spaces I want to create, the places I want to see, and how I feel through all of it — physically, mentally, and everything in between.
I’m not here because I have 50 figured out. Quite the opposite.
